The Beatles-1965By the year 1965, all of the beatles were pretty much hooked with a partner: John and Cynthia, who were married since 1962, Paul with actress Jane Asher since 1963, George living with model Pattie Boyd since 1964 and Ringo married to Maureen at the start of 1965. During the group's popularity during Beatlemania, the wives and girlfriends of the fab four were often abused and attacked from nutty and crazy fans who thought that they themselves should have been with their chosen beatle.

February 11, 1965- Ringo marries Mary (Maureen) Cox.

February 15, 1965- New single: Eight Days A Week/I Don't Want To Spoil The Party is released in the U.S.

February 22, 1965- The Beatles second movie: "Help!", begins shooting in the Bahamas.

March 22, 1965- The LP: The Early Beatles, is released in the U.S.

April 6, 1965- The EP: Beatles For Sale, is released in the UK.

April 9, 1965- Ticket To Ride/Yes It Is, the single, is released in the UK (April 19 in the U.S.)

April 26, 1965- Pete Best (ex beatle) is interviewed in the Daily Mirror newspaper.

May 3-5, 1965- A sequence for the movie: Help!, is filmed on Salisbury Plain.

May 20, 1965- The Beatles last-ever recording session for BBC radio.

June 4, 1965- Beatles For Sale (No. 2) is released in the UK.

June 7, 1965- The Beatles (Invite You To Take A Ticket To Ride), which was pre-recorded on May 26, woiuld be BBC's, last radio performance broadcast.

June 14, 1965- Beatles VI is released in the U.S.

June 20, 1965- Starting with a concert in Paris, the Beatles went on a short European tour of France, Italy and Spain.

July 1, 1965- "A Spaniard In The Works", John Lennon's second book, is released.

July 19,1965- Help!/I'm Down single is released in the U.S.(July 23 in the UK).

July 29, 1965- At the London Pavillion, "Help!" has its royal world charity premiere.

August 6,1965- The Beatles LP "Help!", is released in the UK (August 13 in the U.S.

August 15, 1965- With a record crowd of 55,600 at New York's Shea Stadium, the Beatles start their second U.S. tour.

August 27, 1965- At his Beverly Hills home on Perugia Way, the Beatles meet Elvis Presley.

September 13, 1965- Zak, son of Ringo and Maureen, is born. Also, the Beatles single: Yesterday/Act Naturally is released in the U.S.

October 26, 1965- In the Great Throne Room at Buckingham Palace, the Beatles receive their MBEs (Member of the Order of the British Empire).

December 3, 1965- Playing at the Odeon Cinema in Glasgow, the Beatles start their last UK tour. Their single: Ww Can Work It Out/Day Tripper is released in the UK (December 6 in the U.S.) Also, the Beatles LP: Rubber Soul is released in the UK (December 6 in the U.S.

December 6, 1965- The Beatles EP: Million Sellers is released in the UK.

December 17, 1965- "The Music of Lennon and McCartney", is broadcast by ITV around Britain.
