| Ringo Starr is known for being the most amiable of the Beatles, but the rock star showed his tough side Tuesday when he walked off the set of "Live With Regis and Kelly" rather than cut short one of his songs. Slated to perform the title song of his latest cd, "Liverpool 8" with fellow rocker Dave Stewert, Ringo Starr did not realize that his song would have to be cut from four and a half minutes to under three and a half minutes. Blamed on a lack of communication between Ringo Starr's staff and the musical director of the show a compromise tried to be reached amongst the two parties. When negotiations on the length of the song fell through and a compromise was unable to be reached, Ringo Starr walked off the show. Ringo Starr offered to cut a minute off his song but was not willing to compromise on the integrity of his music, Ringo left the show stating " God Bless and goodbye. We still love Regis." Wouldn't you think that the Regis show could bend a little more for a legendary musical icon? |
