Last night the Grammy's were on and to commemorate the 50th Anniversary, they honored the Beatles music, which was so appropriate because the Beatles music made an indelible footprint on the history of rock and roll, whose genre seems to have its own place in history. The Beatles wrote brilliant melodies and lyrics, which catapulted them to the top of their field in no time. This group has contributed much to the popular music we hear today, and they will leave a musical legacy like no other, except possibly Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Wagner.
The Beatles music has influenced so many other successful singers, like Elton John and Pink Floyd, and these early rock and roll groups turned the page in popular music history in the world. After Capitol Records reluctantly released their single in the US, "I Want to Hold Your Hand," they rose to the top of the charts immediately, completely disproving Capitol Records belief that The Beatles would not be a hit in the US. After watching the Grammy's last night, I was happy to see the legend continue.
